The patulous Eustachian tube is a quite frequent clinical syndrome with many different pathophysiological complaints. Up to now there have been many attempts to help these patients with their symptoms, though none have had particularly long-lasting effects. The internationally renowned authors of this book demonstrate a new conservative treatment regime that has proven to be a breakthrough for these patients. The book is divided into three parts, which cover firstly the anatomy and physiology of the Eustachian tube with the new model of the tubal mechanics. Next, they deal with examination techniques and the evaluation of the new interdisciplinary methods. Finally, the book covers the different treatment options as well as the new concept of physiotherapy and the new invasive treatment.
