Beschreibung
Although WWOX gene has been extensively studied in various types of cancer, the expression level of WWOX gene in acute myeloid leukemia and its clinical significance are less well established. The results demonstrated that the levels of WWOX gene expression in the patients with acute myeloid leukemia were significantly lower when compared with the HDs. In addition to there was a significant correlation between WWOX gene expression and clinical outcome.

Walaa Fikry Elbossaty is research fellow, Department of chemistry, Faculty of Science-Damietta, Egypt. She received BSc (chemistry/biochemistry), MSc in biochemistry from Mansoura University and PhD in biochemistry from Damietta University. Her research interests are focused on using RT-PCR technique in early detection of AML.
