The book is a product of research work that investigated the effectiveness of extracts from different parts of Carica papaya (Pawpaw) in minimizing the histological, biochemical and haematological changes in alloxan induced diabetic wistar rats. The study used the pancreas, liver, kidneys and blood samples from the rats for the investigation and routine methods for histological, biochemical and haematological analysis were used. The results showed that the extracts could impart positive changes in the above parameters investigated and as such can be used in the development of therapeutic agents for the treatment of disease conditions such as diabetes mellitus and its complications.The book is therefore recommended for use by Medical and allied Medical practitioners, undergraduate and postgraduate students as a guide for research methods and thesis writing.

The author (Dr.) Clement K Okpora was born in Rumuji clan in Emohua local government area of Rivers State, Nigeria. He studied Medical Sciences and specialized in the fields of Pathology, Anatomy and Physiology. Presently a lecturer in Rivers State University Nigeria. He has published many books and articles in local and international journals.
