Cutaneous melanoma is the most lethal skin cancer. It can develop de novo or from a preexisting lesion such as a dysplastic nevus. In recent years, its incidence has increased gradually. Early detection and early surgical removal are associated with increased survival. As dysplastic nevi are potential precursors of melanoma and are associated with increased risk of melanoma, its quite important to diagnose, screen and follow up patients with dysplastic nevus. This book will primarily focus on clinical and histopathological features of dysplastic nevi and cutaneous melanoma as well as clinical management, treatment and follow-up modalities. It is presented in a synopsis format to provide quick access to information.

Dr. Nilay Duman graduated from Hacettepe University, School of Medicine at 2005. She has been working as a dermatologist since 2011. At present she is Assistant Professor in Dermatology Department at Afyon Kocatepe University, School of Medicine. She has published several papers related to cutaneous melanoma and dysplastic nevi.
