The book has been prepared from different standard books, international guidelines, expert opinions, personal experience, updated information and different literature. Even though there are many books of obstetrics and gynecology, they are not problem based, topic specific, up-to-date, detailed. Moreover, most of the sources are not prepared according to developing world health problems. But this book tried to solve these problems focusing on causes of maternal death. This book is prepared to relieve the shortage of reference materials. Even though it has not all obstetric topics. It is organized in a logical manner so that students, care givers and teachers can use from the basics to the complex. The book tried to show the key to health care providers in their maternal care service. It will also help the students and teachers as reference in the academic area.
