Dysmenorrhea is a common gynecological disorder that affects about 50% of women of reproductive age and is a common factor in reducing the quality of women life, as well as is the main cause of women's referral to clinics which causes waste time and multiple problems for young women and girls. So, the aim of this study was to determine the relationship between lifestyle and primary dysmenorrhea in employed nurses. The results of this research showed a direct relationship between lifestyle and primary dysmenorrhea. According to the results of this study, it is recommended to give adequate knowledge to the menstruation ages girls through regular and ongoing educational programs to modify or change lifestyles and assured them of the effectiveness of lifestyle modifications to get the needed skills and prevented the complications and discomfort caused by this problem.

Samaneh Sardashty is a Master of Nursing (Surgical Internal tendency) of Islamic Azad University of Medical Branch of Tehran. She worked in Children's Hospital and currently is a Faculty Member of Torbat Heydariyeh University of Medical Sciences. She is teaching theoretical units for Nursing, Anesthesiology and Operating room students.
