The book introduces the large-eddy simulation technique. Both mathematical and physical basis for the subgrid-scale modelling are discussed, and an exhaustive description of the models is given.Theoretical and practival problems related to the data analysis are discussed and illustrated through various examples. There is as yet no other book on this active research topoic.
