In the present era of information technology, it becomes necessary to update the information generated by researchers for the use of scientists, professionals and the industry. The present edited book entitled Information Measures and Applications covers chapters on probabilistic measures of information and their applications to Portfolio Analysis, Non-linear Programming Problem, Queueing Theory, Energy Fluctuations and Statistics. It also covers measures of fuzzy information and their applications to Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Medical-diagnosis, Multi-criteria Decision Making and Fault -diagnosis of Turbine. These chapters would provide the readers with a solid foundation, upon which more advanced topics of information theory can be studied. Throughout the book I have referenced the key people behind the various discoveries, which I hope adds a human dimension to the subject. I have every right to assume that the contents of this book will be useful to Mathematicians, Statisticians, Operational Researchers, Computer Scientists and Information theoreticians in their respective fields.

Prof. Om Parkash, recipient of the award of excellence by ISITA, is on the editorial boards and reviewer of journals. With 33 years of experience in Mathematics at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India, he has published 97 research papers, edited 5 books, authored 1 book, supervised 11 scholars, completed projects and organized conferences.
