The book is a two-part collection of exercises. It is intended for those readers who want to acquire basic skills in solving problems of arithmetic, number theory and commutative rings. It can be used as support for problem solving sessions for undergraduate or graduate courses in number theory or for introductory courses on algebraic structures. It was designed as a support for a course in arithmetic and number theory methods for a masters in mathematics teaching program. It also addresses math teachers, secondary school and high-school students attending mathematical competitions, as well as undergraduates and graduates.
