This book is designed for use by the first year undergraduate students of Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, etc. The book has nine chapters which covers problems on Analytic Geometry and Calculus, formulated and presented in a sequential order for logical flow and easy follow up. At the end of every chapter of the book there is a set of questions tagged ON YOUR OWN for students to practice.The book has dual purposes; firstly, it is aimed at exposing students to varieties of questions and solutions techniques; and secondly, it is to serve as a reservoir for examinations questions.To the students, it is important to note that studying and knowing Mathematics requires the following techniques: (i) Sequential learning pattern (ii) Constant practice (iii) Active skills practice.

Prof. Effanga is from Enwang in Mbo L.G.A of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He attended Methodist Primary School, Enwang, and St. Vincent's Secondary School, Oti-Oron, both in Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria. He obtained B.Sc (Mathematics/Statistics) from UNICAL in 1987, M.Sc (Statistics) in 1992, from IBADAN, and Ph.D (Statistics) in 2009 from UNICAL.
