In the era of communication technologies where web applications, smartphones and other technologies are growing at a high speed, the fastest medium that one can interact with another and can deliver their messages is speech. Speech can be used to describe one's emotional state and stress level; it can also be used to identify a person and the gender by the language that is used for communication. All these, including the techniques for human emotions detection are discussed and described in this book.

Alaa Khudhair Abbas is Assistant lecturer in the college of Oil and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Tikrit where he has been a faculty member since 2016. Alaa Kh. Abbas completed his MSc.(CompSci.) at University Technology Malaysia and his undergraduate studies at Tikrit University.
