The major challenges in ultrasound imaging are to preserve the tissue information contaminated with speckle, edge features, corners or other important structural details. Many methods have been developed to reduce the speckle but its difficult to reach a balance between the noise attenuation and edge preserving.

Karamjeet Singh received his B.Sc Mathematics from Punjabi University, Patiala, and M.Sc Mathematics from Guru Nanak Dev University,Amritsar. He completed his M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjabi University, Patiala. He is awarded by MANF fellowship by UGC to complete the M.Phil-Ph.D program from Punjabi University, Patiala.
