Beschreibung

The main objective of this book is existing biometrics persons recognition system is enhanced with spectroscopy method. Biometric spoofing is a method of fooling a biometric identification management system. Palmprint recognition system is a promising biometric technology; many different systems and algorithms have been proposed and built. Although, great success has been achieved in palmprint research, however, the accuracy and spoofing mechanism are limited in some cases, because current palmprint biometric system provide images for person authentication, impression of the Palmprint images can be left on the surface by sweat or secretion from glands presents in palmprint region or can be used transferring ink to copy the palmprint features, many times palmprint sensors accepted artificial palmprint for fooling palmprint biometric system. Existing palmprint system is enhanced with spectroscopy method. Spectroscopy method generate spectral signature and this spectral signature are unique in nature for every persons, therefore spoofing mechanism avoided and recognition accuracy of the palmprint system is increased.
