Kannada language has about 2000 years history. Karnataka was ruled by many rulers like Kadambas, Western Ganga Dynasty, Rashtrakuta, Chalukya, Hoysala and Vijayanagara Empire. The inscriptions generally found are on stone or copper plates. The Kannada inscriptions found on historical hero Stone, coin and temple wall, pillar, tablet and rock edict. Analysis of any language with rich heritage and history is very important to understand the life and culture of that period. Stone inscripted literature speaks about the history, language of different regions of the world. Preservation of such document through digitization process is become very important. To stop degradation and missing further, the analysis of the same will through light on historical events of that region. It is necessary to digitize Stone inscriptions by modern technique.
