Nowadays the network security is a crucial issue and traditional intrusion detection systems are not a sufficient way. Hence the intelligent detection systems should have a major role in network security by taking into consideration to process the network big data and predict the anomalies behavior as fast as possible. In this book, we suggest some models via Apache Spark for integrating Machine learning with Intrusion detection systems. The Machine Learning algorithms used in this book are Random Forest, Decision Tree, and Gradient-boosted classifiers.

Hesamaldin HAJIALIAN has graduated from the Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics, and Informatics of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in 2018. He holds a Master diploma in Information Security and his work focuses on Machine Learning in Cybersecurity especially Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Next-Generation Firewalls.
