This book presents a new approach to Relational Database Access using Natural Language. The method exploits concepts from ontological engineering for data extraction and presentation as well as Chomsky's linguistic theories of Transformational-Generative Grammar. The approach was tested on various languages and domains and was shown to be both Language and domain independent. The method is robust in handling user inputs. This book is particularly useful to researchers keen on exploring new methods that give superior performances, post graduate learning especially Computer Science and Natural Language Processing classes as well as program developers.
Autorenporträt
Dr. Lawrence Muchemi holds a PhD in Computer Science and lectures at the University of Nairobi. He is an experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expert having started as an Engineer in 1995. He has taught at various universities in Kenya which include JKUAT, Africa Nazarene University where he was the head of the department and currently at UoN.
