Puppet is one of the many indigenous cultures of Indonesia. Not many Indonesian people understand the properties and characteristics of the puppet characters. The lack of introduction media of the properties and characteristics of the puppet characters are interesting and interactive became one of the causes of the lack of public understanding about the nature and characteristics of the puppet characters. The purpose of this research is to build introduction media application of the properties and characteristics of the puppet characters based on android with augmented reality method. Introduction media application of the properties and characteristics of the puppet characters based on android with augmented reality methods built with C# programming languages and is designed by using the waterfall model. There are four stages in the design of this system that is system analysis, system design, system implementation, and system testing. Based on the results of testing the system by using the McCall factor committed by the user and the computer experts obtained the results, that the system meets the needs of the user and the information presented the system is quite good.

Muhammad Duha Ramadani - a graduate of a Yogyakarta State University majoring in Mathematics at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. He is concerned about the indigenous culture of Indonesia, one of which is the art of wayang. Finally came the idea to create an application using augmented reality technology as a medium of puppet recognition.
