Opinion Mining is one of the most interesting areas of research in information retrieval (IR). It has gained rise in its popularity especially after emergence of online social networks. This book contains work on opinion mining from blogs. Blogs are kind of sites where people talk about different issues in a chronological order. A blog can have many blogposts on a particular or several issues and people reading this blogpost can comment on a blogpost to give thier opinions. Therefore, blogs can be considered one of the richest source of opinions on the web.

Dr. Malik M. Saad Missen is working as a researcher in Université de la Rochelle, France. He completed his PhD in 2011 from Université de Toulouse, France. His research interests include Information Retrieval, Social Network Mining and Analysis and Human Computer Interaction.
