This book constitutes the proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Value Engineering in Artificial Intelligence, VALE 2024, held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, during October 19-24, 2024. The 16 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected. The papers have been grouped into these topical sections: value identification; value-driven decision making; and ethical issues, including explainability.
