This book analyzes misinformation and notably fake news from the perspective of social network analysis. Extensive spread of fake news can have severely negative impacts on individuals and society. The contributors to this volume describe how disinformation is disseminated as well as how to mitigate its propagation as well and possibly control news bias. They have developed data mining techniques for efficient fake news detection and for intervening on the propagation of fake news. This edited volume will appeal to students, researchers, and professionals working on misinformation in social media from a unique lens.
