Beschreibung
Telemedicine refers to the use of electronic information and communication technologies to provide support to healthcare systems where distance is the critical factor or distance separates the participants. Remote Patient Monitoring is the process of monitoring patient from the remote location with the help of telecommunication devices. The main aim of this work is to increase the healthcare delivery and to improve the patients health in certain conditions but not to replace the face-to-face communication. Telemedicine is the use of two-way telecommunication technology to deliver and enhance the healthcare for those who live in remote areas. Here this work shows a prototype of a remote patients skin temperature measurement system using temperature sensor and then transmit this information to the central monitoring station based on wireless sensor network using ZigBee Protocol (IEEE standard 802.15.4). The use of described system is suitable for continuous long time multiple patient monitoring, in-hospital or at-home.
