This book is designed to provide accurate information on the fast growing blockchain technology causing a paradigm shift in todays financial systems. The book discusses key concepts, main problems and relevant solutions based on research works associated with blockchain based technologies with emphasis on scalability issues. Solutions to ensure efficient transfer of funds are provided in this book with reference to micropayment networks as a solution to scalability. In summarizing the contents of this book, suitable protocols are developed to enable the secured transfer of funds from point(s) to point(s) in a cryptocurrency micropayment network. Concrete implementation and performance evaluation on these designed protocols are made available. The book concludes on the limitations and future research directions on cryptocurrency micropayment networks. This book is important for understanding the relevance of adopting crypto-based financial systems and throws light on directions taken in solving problems on such systems.
Autorenporträt
Emmanuel received his B.Sc. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Ghana Technology University College, Ghana, in 2014 and his MSc. in Computer Science and Technology with the school of Computer Science and Engineering in UESTC in 2017. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology in UESTC.
