Beschreibung

Computation with DNA is getting popular day by day in the computational world. Its impact on the researcher increases due to fabulous potentials it contains, the storage capacity is massive, parallelism in processing is incredible. Unfortunately in Pakistan as a developing nation, much less attention has been given to this new computational approach. This research helps in highlighting the importance of DNA based computing and also explores new research dimensions. This research is aimed at investigating cost of DNA based computing in contrast to the traditional approach. In this research different attributes of both techniques are compared and analyzed. Comparison of process, storage, cost and power consumption are made and results are given. A model is designed for comparison of the mentioned attributes in both techniques. It is discussed that DNA based computation is suitable for parallel processing in contrast of traditional computing. It has awesome capability of storing data for long lasting and huge capacity. Energy consumption and production cost is almost negligible. DNA based computing is remarkable for solving such combinatorial problems.
