Beschreibung
This textbook approaches topics mainly of musical theory and composition under a new light. The focus is on classical topics such as harmony and counterpoint, but the authors also include references to gestures and global theory. They present ideas in a critical manner, highlighting problems in earlier theories, and showing the advantage of using scientific tools. The book includes many illustrations, and exercises with solutions, and the authors introduce computational tools and software for analysis and composition, such as Rubato.
