This book aims to provide the explanation of the notions of Cloud Computing (Chapter I) and how its usage influenced modern software delivery processes (Chapter II). It introduces an authorial software project developed using Chef and Vagrant - configuration management and automation tools that show the possibilities of a hybrid cloud based on Amazon Web Services and OpenStack (Chapters III-IV). The principle problem of this book is the question: how to make use of a hybrid cloud? The answer that this book provides is a DevOps paradigm - a unique combination of practices and tools where the world of Software Development meets the world of IT Operations.

Tomasz Klosinski is a System Engineer specializing in Linux server configuration management and automation. He is a M.A. graduate of IT (Databases) at Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw, B.A. graduate of Computer Science and B.A. graduate of Business Management at University of Lodz.
