Beschreibung
This book addresses the challenges we face as digital platforms increasingly reshape our cities and the everyday spaces of our urban lives. Offering a mix of historical, contemporary and speculative perspectives, it argues that we need a better understanding of the way digital platforms produce highly absorptive spaces of urban interaction, known as 'platform ecosystems', that are capable of recalibrating a range of existing urban conditions, infrastructures and practices according to their particular platform architectures.
