This book is truly based on intensive field work and simple but effective method centric. This book explores different morphological and morphometric aspects of the Dwarka river channel and river basin and these have been linked with flood characters in different parts of the channel reach and basin. Spatio-temporal dimension of flood in different segments of the Dwarka river basin have analyzed using some statistical techniques. This work tries to assess the ecological behaviour of people to live with flood or keep flood corridor undisturbed. Some structural and non-structural measures have outlined in respect to Dwarka river basin as flood management strategies.

Dr Surajit Let completed his Ph.D from Visva-Bharati University (Santiniketan), West Bengal. He is now working on River Basin Management. His field of specialization is Fluvial Geomorphology.
