This book is designated to provide a quick reference material to students, researchers and practitioners particularly those interested in livelihood systems impacted by climate variability and change in Africa. Using ethnographic data, the book makes an excellent account of how local people's perceptions of changes in climate may not necessarily tally with results from an analysis of instrumental records of climate components including rainfall. Research students and researchers in early stages of their carrier may benefit much on the approach used to analyze peoples accounts of climate variability and change.

Dr. M. S. Bushesha is an expert in Geography and Environmental Management. She obtained her PhD at the university of Bradford in the United Kingdom in 2011. Her area of interest is rural livelihood systems.She is a lecturer in Geography and director for quality assurance and control at the Open University of Tanzania.
