Atmosphere is covering the earth like blanket, having so many major and minor gases including unwanted and dangerous gases like - Green House Gases (GHGs), Methane (CH4), Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) etc. There is a hue and cry globally regarding the increasing amount of these gases due to the unchecked and greedy human activities. The concentration of these gases is felt worldwide in the form of global warming, climate change, ozone depletion, acidic rainfall, environmental degradation, desertification, deforestation, natural disasters etc. so, it is the need of the hour to develop better understanding about the atmosphere, in which we are living and interacting regularly, and different atmospheric phenomenon taking place. This dictionary is a very small effort in this direction. Hopefully, this dictionary will prove its work.

Dr. Mary Tahir presently working in Jamia Millia Islamia University. She obtained her M.Phil and PhD from JNU, New Delhi, India. Mr. Ayele Behaylu obtained his Masters Degree from Dilla University. Presently he is working as a Lecturer. Prof. Tahir Hussain obtained his masters and PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia University, India.
