Indoor navigation is important for various applications such as disaster management, building modelling and safety analysis. In the last decade, the indoor environment has been a focus of extensive research that includes the development of indoor data acquisition techniques, 3D data modelling and indoor navigation. In this book, a topological method for 3D modelling of an interior building has been presented.

Ali Jamali holds an MSc degree in Geoinformatics from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is currently a PhD researcher with the 3D GIS group of the faculty of Geoinformation and Real Estate at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. His current research interest includes indoor surveying and 3D building modelling.
