The present work is an effort for establishing a relationship between the growing age and variation in the chemical constituents of the connective tissues. If definite and meaningful results are obtained in respect of mineral and organic constituents of connective tissues undergoing chemical changes at different stages of growth, the present study will certainly prove a small contribution to unraveling of chemical causes of ageing. Further, the growth related changes in the chemical constituents of connective tissues may merit the attention of workers in the field of glue, gelatin, collagen etc. & also researchers in the field of medicine. Arthritis is a common disease of connective tissues in the aged living being. The study covers the chemical investigation of connective tissues of fresh water fish Glossogobius Giruris at three different stages of growth.
