This book comprises 6 print and online reference volumes detailing the properties of the chemical compounds of pharmacological interest found in plants. This coverage provides unique information on compounds isolated from some 3,000 plants, including many from Central Asia and Russia, that are not well known elsewhere. The half-page entries for each compound are preceded by tabulated information on the occurrence of the compounds in plants etc. The online edition has links to color photographs of many of the plant sources. The highly experienced team of compilers from the renowned Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances in Tashkent has expertly assessed the international literature and included data only when confident of its validity. In all, this remarkable compilation covers 7,500 compounds from some 3,000 plants. The online edition is enhanced with full-color illustrations and photos to further enable plant recognition.
