Nanomaterials show versatile application in different fields like sensors, catalysis, medicine, optics, electro-chemicals, magnetics etc. Researchers have found a great potential in nanomaterials in the field of water purification technology due to their very high surface/volume ratio. Arsenic contamination of ground water is one of the life threatening menaces all over the world. Since the last few decades a plethora of research work had been accomplished in order to eradicate the arsenic menace. Nanostructure materials, in this regard exhibit a high range of possibility to fight off.

Dr. Abhishek Dhar is currently working as Research Associate in the Dept.of Instrumentation Science, Jadavpur University, India. He obtained his Ph.D degree from University of Calcutta, India. His area of interest is catalysis, solar cell fabrication and material science. He published 25 research papers in different reputed, international journals.
