Natural product from seaweeds offer a wide range of therapeutic possibilities and have several advantages, for instance; widespread availability, reduced risk of side effects, relatively less expensive, structural diversity, acceptance due to a long history of use, and effectives with chronic conditions. Nowadays the talking about traditional medicine became more important, especially marine traditional medicine based on algae. The medicinal field, it is one of the most important field, because it is related to human being and many money spent by the governments to reduce the suffering of patients. And I think by pay more attention for the marine traditional medicine we can solve many problems in the traditional medicine field. This book cover the important information about the marine traditional medicine focus on algae in the past and present.

I am currently working as an Assistant Researcher at the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, Egypt. I received my master degree in marine natural products and drug discovery field.
