Polymers have become an undetachable part of our everyday life. One can not imagine life in the world without polymer products anymore. To address this inevitable importance of polymers, this book "Fundamentals of Polymer Science and Technology" aims to target both facets of polymer, namely science & technology. It presents a brief discussion of the historical development of polymers, basic definitions and concepts, and an overview of the basis for the various classifications of polymers. It also examines the requirements for polymer formation from monomers and discusses polymer structure at three levels: primary, secondary, and tertiary, along with a discussion of polymer modification techniques. The book also deals with how polymers are prepared from monomers and the transformation of polymers into useful everyday articles, and also properties & applications of polymers.

Dr. Pratik Ambasana received his doctoral degree under Prof. Anamik Shah from Saurashtra University and has worked with Prof. Erik Van der Eycken at University of Leuven, Belgium. He has contributed invited chapter in the book Microwaves in Drug Discovery and Development by Future Science Group, UK along with multiple articles in reputed journals.
