The present book discusses the importance of artemisinin and its derivatives as an antimalarial and anticancer drug. Also, I have discussed the synthesize some novel C-10 flouroarene derivatives of artemisinin, and synthesis of Artemisinin dimers by joining two artemisinin molecules without destroying their endoperoxide bridge. In this book, I have tried to give the comprehensive coverage in the area of 11-azaartemisinin for research and medical students. Moreover, this book deals with the synthesis of a novel series of 11-azaartemisinin monomers and dimers derivatives involving Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction. Detail discussion on the synthesis of this new generation 11-azaartemisinin is done in this book, so that readers are enable to grasp and understand its importance very quickly and easily.

Dr Pori Buragohain was born in Sivasagar, Assam, India in 1984. She completed her B.Sc. in 2005 from Science College, Jorhat, under Dibrugarh University and M.Sc. in 2007 from Dibrugarh University, Assam, India with specialization in Organic Chemistry. She obtained her Ph.D in Chemical Sciences from AcSIR, New Delhi in 2015.
