The main focus of this book was on the basics concepts of nano- chemistry, preparation of a variety of nanoparticles and supra-nano assemblies on their applications as a chemical and biological sensor, optical sensor and biological studies. The key-enabling factor for industrial utilization of nanomaterials is the development of cost effective, large scale manufacturing processes and less time consuming. Overall, this book covers most of the aspects of the preparation, analysis, characterization and variety of nanomaterials for apply in the different fields including sensors, optical properties and biological evaluations.

Dr. Gaurang Patel has achieved his Ph. D degree in chemistry in 2009. He has currently as a Deputy Manager at Anil Limited, Ahmedabad, in R & D section. Nikunj N. Valand has obtained his M. Sc. Degree in organic chemistry in 2010. He has presently as a DST-INSPIRE Fellow, pursuing Ph. D in Department of chemistry, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
