Insect pests are very well known to all concerned that they are the most devastating one. To control a insect pest, a compact knowledge on insect reproductive system is very necessary. Therefore, this book is an attempt to understand the female reproductive system of Ak or painted grasshopper, Poekilocerus pictus Fabricius in finer details. This insect is an established pest of Ak plant and as well as other valuable plants of economic importance. This book is a generous effort to cover the each and every aspects of female reproductive system of Ak grasshopper by using light-microscopy as well as by the electron microscopy. For clear understanding of the reproductive system of this insect both the scanning electron microscopy (For detailed understanding of surface architectures of reproductive organs), as well as, the transmission electron microscopy (For reveling the internal structural details) are used to reveal the histomorphological details.
