For a long time, man has undertaken a fight to face diseases, a survival instinct invades us and forces us to look for the way to avoid death. Our ancestors have forged a knowledge of natural remedies over the years, in the present, the development of science and the benefits they have brought in the field of medicine, have gradually displaced the knowledge of medicinal plants.In this work we will extract the knowledge about a medicinal plant of Mexican origin to take advantage of its known properties, incorporating current scientific knowledge to popular applications.

Luis Daniel Juarez Villalobos, student of the Bachelor's degree in Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Guanajuato in Mexico, began this project while in high school participating in the 5th Summer of Scientific Research for students at the UG.
