It is noticeable to find such a sophisticated system in this invertebrate which is the sea star Asterias rubens: sea star T and B lymphocytes, a complement system from C1 to C9, a sea star Igkappa gene with 2 Ig sites, a Fc receptor gene and humoral specific immune reactions with few recognized antigens.The sea star has its limits!We know the subject is burning. Born in 1941 at Saint-Benoit-sur Loire (Center Region). After studies at the Catholic University of Angers. I obtained a master in Biology.After 10 years of research. I became Doctor ès Sciences and "Maître de Conférences" at the University of Orléans where I directed the laboratory of "Immunology of Invertebrates".
