The Ecology of Tropical Birds, is a book aimed at exploring the activity of birds and their influence by ecological parameters. Birds are sometimes considered as a nuisance by crop-farmers due to their destructive activities to crop-farms. However, the ecological role played by birds in many parts of the world outweigh all their disadvantages. The ecological importance of birds has contributed much in the rain-forest regeneration. Furthermore, their role in environmental indication has very much salvaged research in important ecological areas. This survey has reflected the activity of birds in human residential areas, such as school campuses and local crop-farming communities.

Melle Ekane Maurice was born on 15th October 1974 in Bangem Sub-Division. He holds a Ph.D in Wildlife Management, and presently teaches in University of Buea in Cameroon. Additionally, he has published many scientific articles and books in the following areas, wildlife ecology, conservation, wildlife tourism and wildlife management.
