We all agree that Africa is faced with the challenge of rising demand for food, feed and raw materials, particularly because of low productivity of existing resources, rapid population increase and scarcity of arable land. Climate change, chronic deforestation, nutrient mining and sporadic droughts are some of the major causes of poor agricultural performance. This book seeks to inspire further reflection and action in tackling challenges facing Africa's agriculture and ultimately make an important contribution to sustainable development Mr Nyamwaya.

Mr. Nyamwaya has always been interested in agriculture and always felt it be a calling to make an impact in the community. He's a resourceful professional with over 12 years' grassroots experience of working with farmers and experts in research, breeding, intellectual property rights and policy.
