He was a DAE-BRNS Fellow in National Project "Thermal Ecological Studies" and his project work were carried out in WSCL, PFTL, MAPS/ IGCAR, Kalpakkam. In 2012 he received a Tamilnadu Scientific and Research Organization Young scientist award
