Burgeoning enormous pressure on water resources and escalating cost of wastewater treatment has motivated the research on some economically and environmentally viable alternative to wastewater treatment. Wastewater reuse and treatment through non-edible, flowering and ornamental species gives a practical solution to the problem. This book is written on the basis of research work been conducted on Constructed Wetland Systems, for the purpose of understanding domestic wastewater treatment efficiency of various plant species at different Hydraulic Retention Time. The book presents technical exposure to constructed wetland design, installation and treatment at various physico-chemical levels of wastewater contamination. Guncha Sharma is currently persuing Ph.D. from University of Delhi. She has worked on constructed wetland systems in her M.Sc. and was awarded with prestigious Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal by Gautam Buddha University, U.P. She worked under the supervision of Dr. Asha Pandey who has specialization in various natural wastewater treatment systems.
