Nations need comprehensive monitoring and assessment program identification and conservation practices, and also to identify the problem areas that emerges over time or need specific regulatory actions, to support environmental quality management. Ecological systems are responsible for life-supporting environmental services. They are essential for the survival of human beings because of the natural goods and services they provide to us. Humans derive many direct and indirect benefits from the living world. Thus, we have means in conserving ecosystems for the resources we use, for the pleasure we derive from living organisms and for ethical reasons.

Mahmood Yekeh Yazdandoost studied Ph.D. and Post-Doc., in Environmental Science, at the University of Pune, India. Since 2005 he has been appointed as an Environmental Expert in the Department of Environment (DoE), Iran. His current research interests include: Biodiversity Mainstreaming,Biosphere Reserves conservation and Sustainable Development.
