This book offers a reasonably comprehensive introduction to the broad and diverse field of Agriculture Microbiology by integrating information from many areas of this field to give the readers the basics of essential concepts and methods. The importance of rhizosphere microbial populations for maintenance of root health, nutrient uptake, and tolerance of environmental stress is elaborated. Phosphate solubilizing microbes isolated in this investigation were found to secrete significant level of phytohormones such as IAA, GA3 and cytokinin to the external media. All these microbes can be used as efficient biofertilizers to improve crop productivity.The research findings will help the readers to understand the concepts easily and emphasize the need for the application of the innovative technology for the betterment.
