Silicon (Si) is a beneficial element for higher plants, which are involved in the plant growth and it provides the resistance against pest and fungal diseases. Silicon (Si) promotes healthy development of rice plants. Silicon is essential for higher and sustainable production of rice (Oryza sativa). Si is the only element that does not cause any harm to plants when accumulated in excess due to its properties of undissociation at physiological pH and polymerization. In our present study we tried to do a comparative study to check the growth of Silicon treated rice plants with non Silicon treated rice plants.
