Beschreibung
Plectrathus edulis is an indigenous and endangered tuber crop in Ethiopia. Little research has been conducted on the crop although the crop has a lot of advantage. It can be used as source of antioxidant if further research will be conducted on the crop. In Ethiopia, the crop is only known among farmers and its distribution is sporadic. The crop can be used also as ornamental crop since the flower of the plant is different in color and attractive.
Autorenporträt
The author obtained his Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Plant Sciences from Haramaya University,Ethiopia in the year 2000. He studied his Master of Science degree at University of Hawassa,Ethiopia and graduated in Horticulture in June 2006. Currently the author is working as researcher and lecturer in the department of Horticulture,Jimma University.
