This book contains information on various non-timber forest products (NTFPs) found in and around Dampa Tiger Reserve (DTR) in Mizoram, their seasonality, ethnobotanical uses, consumption pattern, market demand and contribution to household economies, besides, how human activities modifies the size and age structure of some tree species around DTR and the existing policy support for conservation of NTFPs in the state of Mizoram. This book also contains information on some high-valued NTFPs in the area which may help in improving the livelihoods of the people. This book may be useful to foresters and conservation biologists.

Dr. U.K. Sahoo, is a Senior Professor in the Department of Forestry, Mizoram University, India. His research interest includes carbon sequestration, climate change and sustainable utilization of non-timber forest products, livelihood improvement through sustainable farming systems, regeneration ecology and biomass modelling of some forest trees.
