This book deals the detailed and systematic study of 72 germplasms of niger (Guizotia abyssinica Cass.). This book may serve as a guide line to the workers who engaged in niger improvement programme. The book also determine the co-relation and path coefficient for construction of selection indices, genetic variability, heritability, genetic advance of yield components and genetic divergence of the germplasms lines which helps in hybridization programme for crop improvement purpose.

He is Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist, department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, M.B.A.C, Agwanpur, Saharsa under Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur,Bihar, India.
